Counting It Down: Best Golden Girls Moments

Thank you for being a friend......to the State of Pop Culture!!

"The Golden Girls" remains one of the most iconic sitcoms to ever grace the small screen, and yours truly is here to give you our personal favorite moments from the shows 7 season run!

Whether it be a sarcastic zinger from Dorothy, some sexual innuendo from Blanche, a Siciliy story from Sophia or.....something.....kinda dumb from Rose.....

There's plenty of moments to talk about!

So let's count down my PERSONAL faves!

10. Dorothy's Paper Bird

Bea Arthur and Estelle Getty deserved every single damn award for this entire sequence which had yours truly howling. And kudos to Betty White for every Rose facial reaction.

Just watch.

9. Lebanese?

When confronted with her friend Jeans sexuality, Dorothy has some explaining to do to Blanche.

8. There's a Storm A'Comin'

I can't tell you why this scene makes me laugh so hard, it just.....hits hard. Bea's delivery here puts me on the floor every time.

7. Blanche Needs to Sleep

I would have thrown every single damn award at Rue McClanahan for this scene. The sheer genius with the portrayal of the sleep deprivation, and don't even get me started on the delivery of "I have too many earrings".

6. The Slut is Dead

Chalk this one up to one of Dorothy's greatest zingers!!!

5. Slut and a Moron

At this point, I don't think anyone's shocked to find out that I absolutely love the way Bea Arthur could deliver a line. But what drives this one in particular home?

The expressions on Blanche and Rose's faces!

4. Lesbians Lovers of Miami

You know you're going to strike gold when all 4 ladies are present for the scene, and this one is definitely one of my favorites! Rose's expressions off camera, paired with the begrudgedness from Dorothy and Blanche only to top it off with Sophia's delivery?

Perfect.

3. I Wanna Be Loved By You

Rue McClanahan's knack for physical comedy reached a peak with this moment. Just a tour de force moment for her in the series' run.

2. Blanche & Rose Shame Dorothy

What else is there to really say about this, other than what the title is?

The back and forth, Dorothy's exasperation, and finally her blowing up at the end. The chemistry these 3 ladies had was undeniable and made for one hell of a TV moment.

1. Dr. Jonathan Newman

I really don't know what else to say about this scene. Everything works. My all timer moment from one of my all time favorite shows.

And make sure to tell me some of YOUR favorite moments!!!

Sarah Michelle Gellar Remembers Shannen Doherty On Her Birthday

And cue the tears.

Sarah Michelle Gellar is paying tribute to her longtime friend Shannen Doherty on what would have been her 54th birthday.

The two best friends' birthdays are mere days apart, and they would always celebrate together. Today, Sarah took to her Instagram to honor Shannen and remind the late "Charmed" star that she would keep the tradition going.

Doherty passed away at the age of 53 last year after a lengthy cancer battle.

Lady Gaga Electrifies During Coachella Set

That intro might be one of the best things she's EVER done!!!

Lady Gaga opened Coachella weekend night 1 last night, and Mother Monster was in true form right out the gate.

Opening with a brief snippet of "Bloody Mary", Gaga went right into her brand new single "Abracadabra" which then BRILLIANTLY played right into another smash hit "Judas"!!

That transition just about broke my damn gay brain!!!

Playing 11 tracks off of her brand new album "MAYHEM", Gaga also gave the fans some favorites with "Poker Face", "Alejandro", "Paparazzi" and of course "Bad Romance" to close out the show.

You can actually check out the hour long performance below (while it's still available):

What You Need To Be Watching

 Let's try something new!!

The past few months have seen a resurgence in MUST SEE TV for yours truly, as I've discovered some brilliant shows that you should all be checking out.

Here are the shows you need to watch:

1. Adolescence - Netflix

Starring Steven Graham (who also helped create the series), the limited series finds a family ripped apart when the youngest child Jamie Miller is accused of a horrific crime as his family can only wonder what the truth is.

The 4 episodes are shot in one continuous take, making it truly must see. The acting, writing, and direction are absolutely superb with the young Owen Cooper landing his FIRST EVER role. This kid is going to blow you away.

It's an emotional rollercoaster, so prepare yourself for some ugly crying.

2. Mid Century Modern - Disney+/Hulu

Now, on the complete opposite end of ugly crying, you'll be ugly laughing with this one.

Starring Matt Bomer, Nathan Lane, Nathan Lee Graham and the late, great Linda Lavin, this HILARIOUS sitcom heralds back to the great sitcoms of the past.

But, airing where it does, it's got a little spice to it too.

While the entire cast are hysterical, it's Matt Bomer who truly outdoes himself in this very Rose Nylund type performance. If any of you ask me who that is, I'll start screaming.

Set in Palm Springs, the series follows three gay men coming to terms with the loss of a friend and decide to move in together to enjoy their "later years".

Trust me when I say, all of you should be watching this.

3. The Pitt - Max/Crave

Never did I imagine a medical drama could pull me in so fast.

Starring Noah Wyle (in the performance of his career by the way), the series follows in real time a shift of Pittsburgh hospital staff.

Real, gut-wretching moments allowing you to see into the psyche of the workers while also keeping you on the edge of your seat.

And again, you'e really not prepared for what Noah Wyle brings to the role of Dr. Robby. He's out of this world good and that Emmy should be his.

Now, do yourself a favor and WATCH THESE SHOWS!!!!!

Miley Cyrus Keeps Going Until The "End Of The World" With New Single!

OH THIS IS GOOD!!!!

After catching our attention with promo song "Something Beautiful", Miley Cyrus has officially launched the first single off her upcoming new album.

"End of The World" is a massive, sweeping production of a track, with her signature vocals soaring to new heights.

And don't get me started on that infectious earworm of a chorus!

IT'S LIZA!!! Liza Minnelli To Appear In "Drag Race" Season Finale

You wanna talk about landing a GIANT?!

For the upcoming finale of the current 17th season of "RuPaul's Drag Race", none other than the legendary, iconic Liza Minnelli is set to appear!!!

The official social media shared a picture of Ru with Liza, properly seated in a throne where she belongs.

The finale was taped just a few nights ago and is scheduled to air in a couple of weeks.

Are you excited to see Liza sashay onto the main stage of "RuPaul's Drag Race"??

"Wicked: For Good" Poster Debuts At CinemaCon

Just 8 more months to go!!!

Dropping at last weeks CinemaCon, we have our official first glimpse at the poster for "Wicked: For Good", the finale/continuation of last years blockbuster "Wicked".

As comes with the novel/musical, it appears battle lines are drawn as Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande hold their own opposite each other as Elphaba and Glinda.

Do you think "Wicked: For Good" will live up to the hype?

The film premieres November 21st 2025.

Let's Rank 'Em: RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars Edition

Maybe cause some discourse on this lovely Tuesday?

HA!!!

As we get closer to 'RuPaul's Drag Race: All Stars 10" (expect a cast announcement very soon), I thought it would be fun to dive into the seasons that come before it and give you all my official ranking.

Of course, this is absolutely my opinion, and would love for you all to share yours as well!

We're going to count them down!!

Coming in at #9:

Season 3

A bit shocked that season 1 isn't bottom of the barrel right?

Well, yours truly had a major issue with the 3rd installment, so let's look at some positives first.

The cast was absolutely bonkers good, with Bendelacreme almost running away with the entire thing, while Aja rightfully earned her redemption along the way. Bringing OG winner Bebe Zahara Benet back was a nice touch, and I'll never complain about the late, great Chi Chi DeVayne. We miss you angel.

Now, let's discuss the negatives and why it lands rock bottom for me.

The jury twist absolutely destroys what the season could have been. It takes all of the momentum away from the stakes of the competition and leaves it as RuPaul's Best Friend Race.

Yes, there are plenty of memorable moments (Dela's exit is legendary), but the jury twist is the worst thing the franchise has ever done.

#8

Season 8

Okay, hear me out.

Again, some memorable moments (you'll notice that's a theme) but it's not enough to save what I consider to be a dud. Production fuckery paired with an OBVIOUS winner from the start, there really didn't seem to be stakes during this. Jimbo was clearly never going to lose this, and even though Kandy really showed UP and showed OUT, it was never going to happen. Do I think Jimbo did a great job? Of course, but watch the season back and tell me there wasn't any bias. And don't get me started on how dirty the season did Heidi.

#7

Season 1

Okay, now is the time to bitch about the teams twist.

What we NEED to remember though, is how legendary this cast is. Having Raven/Jujubee/Latrice/Manila/Yara/Alexis/Chad/Shannel/Tammie/Nina/Pandora all back for the very first All Stars was genius casting and really had the goods to sell the season.

Oh, and Mimi. lol

Pair that with an EXPLOSIVE first Untucked (series high in my opinion)cand there was something that really could have worked here.

But the teams twist really hurt the season and we never really got to see each All Star shine like we know they could.

#6

Season 5

This is going to be somewhat similar to 8, but not as much.

When Shea Coulee walked into the werkroom, it was hers to lose. Sure, Miz Cracker and Jujubee really gave Shea a run for the crown, but the fandom was fully behind Shea. The challenges were forgettable while even the lip syncs didn't really live up to any hype. (Who brings the dancing goddamn diva Kennedy Davenport in to lip sync to Fancy by Reba?!)

Other highs of the seasons included Shea/Jujubee devouring Snatch Game of Love, and Alexis Mateo giving us the iconic "And this is why Derrick don't like you" during India's elimination.

Still, it didn't really live up to the hype.

#5

Season 9

Competing for charity really didn't pan out as the idea the producers thought it would.

While boasting a fantastic cast, there was never really any high drama to this season while most of the cast was just happy to be doing this for charity. Which, don't get me wrong, is a fantastic idea and really gave us some of the most legendary looks of the franchise (thank you Gottmik and Plastique).

It's just the show has built itself on very gag-worthy moments over the course of the years, and this season was lacking it.

#4

Season 6

Allow me to just say this to start:

SILKY. NUTMEG. GANACHE.

I mean, how else can you start this!? The good ol' Silk came to PLAY in the major highlight of the season, the secret lip sync showdown. Barbie Girl will go down in herstory as one of the most batshit, insane things to happen on the show. Ru's reaction said enough:

But back to the season as a whole.

WHAT A CAST! Finally seeing Trinity K. Bonet back in the race, a game changing Kylie Sonique Love, and I love that we got to see Pandora Boxx get a proper run as a singles competitior. I'll also shoutout how fun the lip syncs were this season. Ginger/Mayhem doing "Phone" by Lizzo was hilarious, Kylie/Manila amping it up during Xtina's "Dirrty", and of course.....

Laganja Estranja with the epic entrance to her lip sync against Trinity to Dua Lipa's "Physical":

#3

Season 4

This may come as a surprise to some of you, but this season absolutely holds up over time.

Another great cast, the returns of Latrice Royale/Manila Luzon, the delusion of our beloved Valentina and the full redemptions of Monet XChange and Mo Heart.

Let's also not forget what insane runways the iconic Naomi Smalls brought.

I found this season so much fun and full of drama which was very welcomed after the disastrous results of AS3.

Not to mention it also includes the best promo package! I mean LOOK AT THEM!

#2

Season 7

Don't even pretend to be surprised by what #1 is going to be, but I will say season 7 does come pretty damn close!

Seeing the first ever winners season come across so exceptionally well only means we're bound to get another, and I'm also going to give you my predicted/preferred cast for it. But let's remind you all why this season was so amazing.

The talent was obviously through the roof, with past winners Raja, Jinkx Monsoon, Shea Coulee, Trinity the Tuck, Monet XChange, Jaida Essence Hall, Yvie Oddly and the late Vivienne.

From the hilarious challenges (the Fairytale Justice is SO GOOD), to the epic lip syncs (Supernova, Designing Women) and the Raja dominated runways (its not even close by the way), this season delivered and then some.

It also included the best reading is fundamental challenge in the shows herstory. Watch it back and tell me I'm wrong.

And through it all, we got our very first 2 crowned queen in Jinkx Monsoon!!

#1

Season 2

You knew this was coming.

And I'm sure this is probably everyone's favorite All Stars season, as it should be.

With the best cast the franchise could have possibly given us, the moments were just too incredible to count. Let's just focus on what EVERYONE talks about:

Revenge of the Queens!

The episode that will probably go down as the best episode of the entire franchise, and what no other All Stars episode has come close to.

Between the mirror moment, the challenge itself (BEAST!) and the iconic Shut Up and Drive lip sync between Tatianna and Alyssa, this episode showed up and showed out.

But let's just remember other iconic moments in no particular order:

- Alaska's Mae West Snatch Game

- Detox's silver runway

- Jaremi's (Phi Phi) galatic cosplay runway

- Katya's Roxxxy read during the library mini challenge

The show is going to have a mountain to climb trying to surpass this season for me.

And there you have it!

What do you guys think of my ranking?

Let me hear YOURS!!!
