That's right.
Carrie Bradshaw, Samantha Jones, Miranda Hobbes and Charlotte York were born when HBO premiered 'Sex and the City' 27 years ago!
The show would go on to air for 6 successful seasons before airing the series finale in 2004. The show would also collect multiple awards over the years:
The series took home the Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series in 2001, as well as 3 consecutive Golden Globes for Best Television Series - Comedy.
Sarah Jessica Parker would go on to win an Emmy, and 3 Golden Globes for Lead Actress; Cynthia Nixon would go on to win an Emmy for Supporting Actress, and finally Kim Cattrall would take home a Golden Globe for Supporting Actress as well.
The show has also lived on throughout the follow up series 'And Just Like That', with Parker, Nixon and Kristin Davis all reprising their roles; Cattrall appeared in a cameo during season 2.
