Well, it happened.
Following her arrest on March 4th, Britney Spears has officially been charged with a DUI, but she has the opportunity to avoid any jail time.
The DA's office is expected to offer Britney a "wet reckless" plea which means no jail time due to these things:
There's no history of DUI's, her blood alcohol level was low, and no injuries/crashes occurred. In turn, she will be placed on probation for 12 months.
She already voluntarily entered and completed a stint in rehab as well.
Her arraignment is scheduled for May 4th, which she is not required to attend.
