Following the acclaimed success of his Oscar winning film 'Weapons', Zach Cregger is back with another, this time taking on the video game 'Resident Evil'.
The new film, directed by Cregger and starring Austin Abrams, shattered the franchise record at the box office this weekend!
The film brought in a whopping $60 million, marking way above expectations. Previously, the 2010 Milla Jovovich entry in the franchise reigned as the highest, opening to $26 million.
